AllgauerjodlerStill snow on road...  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jun 1, 2009
There are still a few snow drifts that will limit any vehicles... but it's a short stroll to the top, anyway.

WasatchvoyageEasy snowshoe to the top.  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Mar 13, 2009

Stopped at the flank of the peak and strapped on the snowshoes. Beautiful clear day! Inversion down at the lower elevations made the temps decent at the top. I saw no one until getting back to the truck where the place was inundated by loud snowmobiles. Great winter peak for sure, with some altitude!

Moogie737Almost embarrassing  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Nov 17, 2008

Solo. My good sport wife accompanied me on the drive from SLC to a nearly snowless ski resort. After driving to the lower parking area about 1 mile below the summit, I drove back down the gravel road outlined by skiffs of lingering crystal snow so that I could at least get a 4-mile r/t hike out of the deal. In spite of the bright sunshine the wind was more indicative of the season. Next time I might wait until there is more snow and snowshoe from the base of the resort.

apachedinoToo easy
Date Climbed: Jun 16, 2007

At least bike up...still way to easy. Nice views, but I feel like a sucker. Little creak peak over by painguitch is in this range as well and has far better views and is better hike. No trail but it is fairly open. So if your in the area it is worthwhile.

LonePeakFreakJune Snowstorm  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jun 6, 2007

Climbed from the base of Brian Head Peak road in a couple inches of slippery spring snow and howling wind. I wasn't expecting the storm when I came down to southern Utah so I wasn't dressed as warmly as I would've liked. Great views from the top but too cold to enjoy for very long.

jfrishmanIIIWonderful country  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Oct 3, 2003

I couldn't bring myself to drive all the way, so I parked and walked the last 400 feet or so. The Markagunt Plateau is always a nice change of pace from the surrounding deserts.

Tracywalked up the road  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jun 12, 2004

We drove to within two thirds of a mile from the top and parked where a snow drift was still blocking the road. My son Lance (age 15), Skyler Sudweeks (15) and my daughter Tori (8) hiked with me to the top. On the way down, I had them hike south off the peak and I picked them up where their route intersected the dirt road. A year later I was up here again with my Dad (70) on July 27, 2005. No snow that time so we drove all the way up. Sidney Peaks (11,060) is another nice peak hike just 2.25 miles to the northeast of Brian Head. I led a hike up that one with a bunch of Boy Scouts and their leaders (17 people total) on June 11, 2003.
