| Been up numerous times in the past 38 years, usually in the winter from the Stockton Flat/Lytle Creek side. Often if climbing up the east Baldy/Dawson drainage and up a south facing route if it's too cold for something in the shade on Harwood or Baldy. Makes a good workout doing Baldy, Dawson, and Pine on the trail. Last time up was "easy" getting a ride on a Blackhawk for a Search and Rescue mission up Baldy and back. | |

| Went with Fritz on what we assume is a new route. Came up from the end of 3N33 up a beautiful gully-couloir, onto the "shield" up high, onto the summit. Descent down into canyon between Dawson and Pine, out to the east. | |

| Did this one once via Wrightwood. This time I went over Baldy via Ski Hut. Planned to hit Pine too but got caught in a summer lightning storm extravaganza. Saw the bighorn going up Dawson's south flank. | ||

| Continued on from Pine Mountain to Dawson. Near the summit ran into a backpacking family setting up camp for the night. They had spent prior night on windy Baldy and had traversed saddle between Baldy and Dawson. Skiers still skiing down narrow north side snow tongues on Baldy. Good views from Dawson of Victor Valley and east towards San Gorgonio and San Jacinto | |

| I stopped here after tagging Pine Mountain. Not enough time or motivation to continue on to Baldy. Besides, I left my crampons in the car. Nice day, though. Kind of chilly for Memorial Day weekend. | |
