| We did the Mooreman's River Trail as a shuttle and then did Turk Mountain. Nice views from the summit. I think I might have also done it about 35 years earlier. | |

| We did the shorter version of this hike starting from the Turk Mtn Gap parking area. It was a lovely hike and we loved the first overlook even better than the summit. There was a swarm of bugs hanging around the place we chose to sit at the summit, they looked like ants with wings (don't know my bugs) and my friend heard a buzzing noise which he thought might be a wasps nest so we didn't hang around there too long. I think the first overlook (0.1 miles from summit) would be a better place for lunch anyway, but both had excellent views. | |

| We did Humpback Rocks earlier in the day. Turk Mountain was a more rigorous hike. We didn't know the view from the summit would be so great. We were pleasantly surprised. | |
