| after feeling bad driving to the parking lot of Clingmans dome i decided to hike to Andrews Bald and back. nice little hike. only one on the trail and was able to get away from the crowds at CD. saw some snakes. Cloudy so i was only able to get some slight views through the clouds | |

| My nephew and I hiked to Andrew's Bald on a beautiful spring day in 2000. The view was clear all the way to Fontana. Half of the times I have been to Clingman's Dome parking lot, the mountain is socked in so this was one of those special days. | |

| Great hike on my first trip to the Smokies. We were in the clouds most of the trip with a few breaks in the weather, but not many views. Still a gorgeous mountain. | |
