| Have passed by many times on MTS. Finally got to do the short bushwack to the true top. Some meadows along the way if I remember correctly. | |

| Bushwhacked from the Mountains to Sea Trail from the northeastern side of the mountain. I was a little concerned about this bushwhack but found it to be fairly easy. The view from the location where you begin the bushwhack is incredible. | |

| Slept in my car on access road to Ivestor Gap. Summitted at end of a great dayhike; FS 816 to Sams, then to Hardy, to Chestnut and back to car. Misty all day, peaceful, saw nobody in 16+ miles. EASY bushwhack compared to...........................HUM, see of my various TR and routes. | |
