| Cortez | Blackstock Knob on a Rare dry & cool Summer day Date Climbed: Jul 7, 2006 | |
| My wife and I hiked Blackstock Knob on an unusually cool and dry summer day from the Glassmine Falls Overlook. The temp. never rose above 65 degrees. The hike was about 6 miles round trip. The first 3 were steep both relatively easy. The 3 miles on the way down were a breeze. This hike would probably be better in the winter or summer months because the foliage is less dense offers beutiful panoramas of the Black Mountain Crest from the slopes of Blackstock Knob. | |
