Getting to Boulder-Grand Pass was all the work, and the fun was the last 1/2 mile to Tanima's summit. Great views all around on this beautiful day.

tomlaurenAlice - Pilot  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jul 27, 2008

Hiked both peaks after a camp at the North Saint Vrain backcountry campsite. This was one of the most beautiful hikes of my life, passing by two waterfalls (Trio Falls and Fan Falls) and four lakes (Lion Lake Number 1, Lion Lake Number 2, Snowbank Lake, and unnamed lake above Fan Falls). Nice exposure while getting to the summit of Pilot Mtn.

KanePilot, Cleaver

Pilot's summit is difficult to attain. It's quite exposed. Reminded me of the summit of Spearhead. Pilot combines well with Mount Alice. Cleaver is way remote. Combines well with Tanima Peak.
