| Well worth the side trek if you're driving through the area. No work required, either. The fire tower and its views are a real treat. There were grouse nesting next to it when I visited, and they led me on a great chase as I snapped photos of them. | |

| Climbed summer 2004. Good views, but not really a hike considering you can drive to the base of the lookout. | ||

| Absolutely loved this hike... for the wildflowers, the trees, the chat with the fire lookout, and especially for the view! I think this is the best view to be had in the entire southern Sierra. | |
