| Was the last peak in a 6 day tour of the area. Had camped at the 3790 m saddle just south of Kooleh Peak. Struggled up the steep slopes to near Kooleh Peak where we left our heavy backpacks and continued to Shekar Leghas. Came back to our backpacks and followed the ridgeline to Varzan Khortab Peak. After that, suddenly reached the steep slope. Descending the slope with the heavy backpacks was very slow. Fell and twisted my ankle pretty bad and had to limp after that. Camped at a pretty stream-side meadow just above Hatar Village. |
