| Dayhike via Birch Creek, with continuous snow coverage starting around ~10,000ft. Carried snowshoes, but (disregarding some minor postholing on the way back) never really needed them all day. Drove up late the night before, so most of the day was a persistent and fairly tough reminder about the benefits of acclimatization.
Spectacular view of Middle Pal from the summit.
Climbed Casa Diablo Mtn the next day before driving back to the Bay Area--a short outing, but pretty cool nonetheless. |
