lidijagrazulisWeeknight favorite

Great after work training hiking, especially the Cable Line and Section Line trails. Has been a weekly conditioner for me most springs/summers.

This is a great little climb with good scenery along the way. The view from the summit isn't the greatest, but the broad and open summit plateau has lots of room for the loads of people that it accommodates on a regular basis and is perfect for a picnic lunch. I personally like WT3 because there are a number of trails that you can take to the summit giving a variety of scenery and physical challenge. My wife and I have taken the WT3 trail and the Nook trail so far and both are great, although the Nook trail is far less traveled, more steep, and takes a bit of finding above the Talus caves, which adds to the fun!

One week after hiking the Middle Tiger and East Tiger summits, I decided to venture up the three West Tiger peaks 1, 2, 3 (or perhaps 3, 2, 1... depending on which way you go). I went up the West Tiger #3 Trail to get to the three West Tiger summits, and down the Cable Line from West Tiger #3. I was disappointed that morning fog prevented any views from the summits, but at least it was nice to find an owl greet me in the early morning hours.

Perfect way to start the day, straight-forward hike with great local and distant views. Some agressive birds seemed to want some of my lunch though, and were quite brazen in their attemps to acquire it... think Hitchcock.

Made summits of West Tiger 1 and 2, unfortunately our loop hike was cut off by extensive trail rebuilding...
