Nice Quickie
Nice quick hike in the middle of Reno with great views of the valley and passing jet planes. We hiked on a Friday afternoon from Barron Way, which adds distance and vertical gain to the hike. About 2.5 miles round trip with 578 feet of vertical. Quite gradual grade until the final push to the top which exceeds 20% for a short distance. Loose and rocky near the top.

Easy hike with good views of Reno
Parked at Huffaker Hills Trailhead and took the service road to the top, took about 15 minutes. Short and easygoing, great views of Reno and the Carson Range from the top. Fun to watch airplanes take off from here.

Easiest awesome view in Reno
Having driven by this hill everyday for months while going to and from work, and jonesing for a hike to compensate for the poor snow conditions, I tossed my trailrunners in the car and made a quick stop after work. Parked at Huffaker trailhead lot and followed the service road up to the tower at the peak. Can't beat the view for a mere 20 minute walk.

Hiked this one with my Wife. Nice views of Reno and Sierra and an interesting perspective to watch the planes land.

Pedaled the mountain bike to the top. Fun descent on jeep road, then singletrack back to the house. Gotta get back in time for class!

Easy hike. Great to do at the end of a day for a quick conditioner. Did this a lot while I visited Reno for 2 weeks in June 06.
