| Two times we took the Wagon Canyon wash up, the ridge (S of the wash) down. The wash is a bit trickier than you might suppose; many branches come in. Always take the main branch (often hard to distinguish, when pinyons obscure the path) UNTIL ~8300', when you will bear right.
Also went from Pine Nut 10/11/09. This route has about 1000' less elevation gain, but is nowhere as pretty, and has a long dirt-road drive.
I think this peak via Wagon is much nicer than Hayford. |
