gruntmany great days

I've spent many great days in Rock Canyon - climbing & rappelling at the Kitchen, hiking to the campground in the snow, hiking just to hike. I love this place!

I've accessed Rock Canyon for years for hiking, biking, bouldering, camping, and rock climbing. It has everything! So close, so fun!

buffgatoHiking, rock climbing, mountain biking...

Rock Canyon is pretty much my playground. As a hiker, I use it as an access route for getting behind Squaw Peak and Y Mountain to all the fun stuff back there. I also took a BYU rock climbing class in Fall 2007, which was awesome. When I'm feeling adventurous, I take my bike up there and granny gear it for a while before surfing the rocks back down. Good times all around.

Tracymany various hiking and rock climbing experiences  Sucess!

I took a rock climbing class at BYU in the early eighties and have many fond memories of climbing, bouldering and hiking in Rock Canyon. The most memorable is the exploration of Red Baron cave. I hiked the entire length of the canyon on October 1, 1985 when I hiked from the top of Cascade Mountain back to Provo.
