| Mountain Impulse showed me the route from Bailey Canyon, up to Mount Wilson, down the old mountain wilson trail past Orchard camp, then we took the steep trail back up to the ridge, climbed Jones and then followed the ridge down until it intersected the Old Mount Wilson Trail. | |

| I have hiked and run the route described here a number of times and have done some variations of the route by returning on other trails. | |
