Kadee1000 Lakes Mtn Trail  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Sep 22, 2008

This peak was very interesting. The song "Wide Open Spaces" comes to mind when I remember standing in the huge bare areas on the way to the summit. The summit was a nice suprise since I didn't know if it was going to be easy to find with all the flat area.

My son in law and i camped at Elkhorn campground (nice) and enjoyed our hike to the top of this interesting high plateau area. A mailbox adorns the summit and is located above the benchmark. A resident marmot has adorned the area with a lot of droppings so watch your step.

Usually try not to sign summit logs for peaks I haven't actually stood on the highest point of - that IS cheating and if you've ever done it you too ARE cheating. But I'll cheat for this one because of the time I've spent about the trails and backcountry of Thousand Lakes.

Great Place.

Made it close to the summit area but due to various reasons, including the physical limitations of others, weather and darkness, was not able to make the actual summit.
