| I didn't actually make it to the peak due to the gate and warning signs. I didn't realize there were restriction on this peak. I decided to do it as a little extra spur on a loop I hiked from Malibu Creek campground: over to Tapia, up the BBT towards Mesa Peak, along the Mesa Peak Motorway, up Castro Peak Motorway, back down Castro Peak Motorway, down Bulldog Canyon Motorway, through the old M*A*S*H 4077 set, back to Malibu Creek campground... about 14-15 miles. Since I didn't want to break the law and actually go up to Castro Peak, I did the next best thing and scrambled up a boulder peak just below Castro Peak. |
