| Thanks Loro!!! A group of about 9 of us went up today with Loro and met the homeowner. He was very nice and had some great stories about growing up in the area. His house is VERY nice. Went with HP Pals Jeff and Alex | |

| After snagging the highpoint of San Francisco county at 6a.m., Dennis Poulin and I drove up and joined with Loro Paterson to do this one. Other members of our group that I can recall were Wit Ashcroft, Garrick Meeker, Shane Smith and a father daughter team from San Diego. The homeowner was gracious and very nice and was pleased when one of the group, Wit if I remember right, presented him with a nice quality bottle of wine. After our visit to this highpoint, several of us continued on to pick up the Santa Cruz highpoint and I then continued on to pick up Diablo Peak, highpoint of Contra Costa county, making 4 for the day. I should have picked up Mt. Vaca too but it was time to head for home. Thanks to Loro for all her special efforts. | |

| Hiked from the highway to just below the top in 2000, but fencing and a dog guarding the HP suggested I not try my luck. In 2001, visiting my sister in SF, I had made arrangements through Loro with the landowner to visit and bag the last 100 feet or so. The weather was rotten - a major winter storm blowing in with lots of rain. This time he gave me the code to drive past the gate to his place. He was nice enough, and after I told him my story he seemed amused. He didn't know whose dog it was at the HP. | |
