surgentI'm getting too old for this crap.  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Nov 21, 2009

A vendetta peak, after failing in 2007 following the ridge mentioned on this SP page - bailed then due to too many cliffy bits for my comfort level. Came back in late 09 with three others and made the summit via a more moderate ridge to the south, but involving a longer distance and traverse along the main crest. I was really thrashed on the descent, my legs cramping up on me. Glad to have made the top, given I can see this dad-gum peak from my home every day of the year. I will say it is the roughest peak in Arizona I have climbed, and I am glad I will never come back for it! I can now admire it from afar, the itch has been scratched...

One of the more neglected peaks in AZ, considering the millions that can see it daily. But needs better access and a trail to entice these folks.
Climbed with Guy, Mike, and Bob Kerry.
