| With Eric and Dennis. Between 5,200 and 7,000 ft, the trail stays on the west side of the ridge, not the east side as shown on the map. We tagged the 7,680+ summit before heading across to the 7,709 pt and what we agreed is the higher true cohp a couple hundred yards south. Beautiful variety of views, from the flat valley bottom of the Purcell Trench to the glacier carved peaks to the west. | |

| Hiked this with a friend last summer in late July. Great views. We camped at Big Fisher lake the first day, and hit the high point the next morning. We carried enough food and fuel for three days, but were back at camp early enough that we decided to just hike out that afternoon. Will definitely be going back this summer. | ||

| I wanted to climb this as early in the year as possible, and late May on this weak snow year was a good choice. I camped at the bottom of closed FR 2428. There was no snow until 6,500' on the trail, but it got deep from there. I was sinking in to my waist by the time I got to the saddle just east of the summit. It was a warm sunny day and views were amazing, and I too found some Grizzly Bear scat. I also found some ticks crawling on me near the saddle, they were the biggest ticks I've ever seen. There was a nice mulie buck on the way up, already pretty good size for late May. | |

| Hiked this many years ago from the Pyramid Lake Trailhead via Big Fisher Lake. It was a long day hike at 14 miles round trip. | |

| SP'er Bob Bolton and I hiked several miles up the Fisher Peak trail on a misty, foggy day, almost stepping in a pile of Grizzly Bear scat about two miles into the hike. At about the 6800 feet mark on the trail, we left it and went cross country to access the peak. We found two spots that vied for the highest and noted that each was marked with a cairn and a register. We didn't have much in the way of views thanks to the weather but it is beautiful country and obviously grizzly inhabited so you might want to take note of your surroundings. 10 miles RT 3800 feet elev. gain. | |
