| This is a great picturewque hike. You have to be careful of rockfall and moving boulders on the upper mountain, but it is a fantastic hike. I started early in the morning by headlamp and it still took me 11 hours. | |

| SP'er Bob and I had started early and had a great day. The weather was foggy at times and clear at others. We met two other guys that were trying to climb Jefferson via the north ridge/Whitewater glacier but they said they barely escaped with their lives. Rockfall was dominant. This is a nasty area, everything moves. | |
