BLongHigh pointing on the high seas  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Nov 6, 2009

I rented a kayak on St John (Cinnamon Bay) and headed over to Tortola to hike Mt Sage. I used the info from this page to help get me there, thanks! While the hike was boring -- it mostly consisted of dodging cars while walking up a narrow road with blind curves -- the day was a blast. This hike could be awesome if there was a trail system up from the ocean. I made it back to St John around 8:00 PM.

This would make an outstanding and steep hike if attempted from the sea. The trail system for Mount Sage doesn't begin until high on the mountain, however, and this peak is attained after a very easy walk.

My visit was on an overcast day with rain showers so I didn't get as many good pictures as I would have liked. On the upside, my wife hiked with me - you can't beat that.
