bechttWrightwood cleanup  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jan 30, 2009

Completed the remaining eastern San Gabriels starting with Circle Mtn, then Pinyon Ridge, and finishing with Ross Mtn. Don't forget the double snow ascent of Baden Powell -- the second one hurt. Finished by assisting in a helicopter wince rescue of a climber who had slipped down the slope into a tree.

David Rosenberg2x Going D-O-W-N  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Sep 9, 2007
Did this one with Wingding the second time, took about 6.5 hours. Much easier and cooler the second time around. First time via Burnham ridge and second time from Vincent Gap. When the 2 is open, Burnham ridge is the shortest route.

From Vincent Gap to Baden-Powell and then on to Ross - back out the same way, so I did Baden-Powell twice in one day. I think it was about 13 miles with 5400 feet elevation gain - took about 8 hours round-trip and that last 1/2 mile to Ross was hot.

Climbed up from Vincent Gap, tough climb. Here is a Google Earth kmz file that shows the route with photos along the way.

Mountain ImpulseFrom Dawson Saddle  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Sep 19, 1999

Did Ross from Dawson Saddle (Route 2 on the mountain page). We tagged the non-descript Mt. Burnham on the way to Baden-Powell. Then down to Ross and then the humility of the re-ascent to Baden-Powell.
