| Took the Cherry Creek Route. It was shady for most of the morning. A beautiful canyon with plenty of water and bushwacking. I saw one deer and a fox or possibly a small coyote. The fox was sprinting below the peak while I was descending. I only wished I could cover ground as well as he could. I was beat by the time I was through. Hot and sunny on the way down. About 9 hours round trip. Nobody else was around. | |

| Summer 1998 - Climbed Cherry Peak from Tony Grove. We descended down from the saddle near Naomi Peak and climbed up the ridge. Nice view and no other people that day. | |
