| Hiked up Stoney Ridge Trail and took the use trail over to Granite Peak. I considered following the ridge over to Middle Peak, but opted to backtrack to the Stoney Ridge trail and walk up to Stonewall Pass. Then I headed back toward the trailhead a bit and cut cross country to tag the summit of Red Mountain, before finishing the hike. | |

| Hiked up here as the first of two warm-up days before Shasta. Nice views of Sawtooth, Gibson, and Caesar. Continuous snow cover for the last thousand feet or two. | |
