Great hike on a cold but dry February day. I spent the morning in and out and above the clouds. Went over and tagged the top of Mays Peak.

Did the ladder climb with Kevin, Pat T., Doug and Sue (Kevin, you got the exact date wrong). I'd been to the base of that rock a dozen times; what a thrill finally to stand on top of it!

Date Climbed: Nov 3, 2007

Had some fun climbing the various boulders on the summit. Successfully climbed the summit boulder with a little help at the bottom from a dead tree.

This summit took two trips with a surprising technical 20' boulder on the summit. Gerry Roach rates this boulder a 5.9 by it's easiest route. I'm not that good of a climber, so we brought a ladder and ascenders. We threw a rope over the boulder and secured it to a tree on the other side. There aren't many protection opportunities, thus we went with rope tricks. I would be interested in hearing anybody summitting w/o rope tricks. A very worthy summit.
