Larry Vvia Devils Causeway  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jul 2, 2009

Round trip from Stillwater Reservoir, up to saddle, then miles and miles across Orno's summit plateau. I visited Orno's northwest summit because it is a county high point, then hiked over in a hailstorm to the true summit. Loud thunderstorms accompanied me from that point on, for a total of 4 hours in rain and hail. 19 miles round trip, but I got back to base in time to climb Flat Top Mountain that evening/night. Long day.

vanny37Southeast Ridge  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jul 1, 2007

Climbed the southeast ridge route. Great little peak with exceptional views. Beautiful area. Wildflowers were out and there were only a few small snowfields to cross. However, got 'turned around' in the swampy area between the peak and West Coal Creek and met the worst mosquitoes in my life. Just horrible. Also, be careful going cross country, the forests can be thick and difficult to navigate.
