| A very rewarding half-day out, first tagging Mount Abbott via Abbott Ridge, then scrambling up Afton's 4th class east buttress. I then descended Afton's northwest ridge, traversed the Abbott-Afton bowl, checked out the little tarn there, then wandered up to the Abbott Ridge-Mount Abbott saddle, then found the trail heading back to the car.
