Date Climbed: Sep 1, 2008

I hiked in to Lolo as usual, continued over the south summit, then along the ridge until past the "crux" as outlined in the beta. Stayed on top the whole time, found nothing above class 4. After the crux I dropped down to the lakes, then hiked cross country to the (quite faint) trail back to Carlton and the trail home. A very nice way to spend a day.

Completed the traverse with a friend and my dog. It's always interesting getting the dog through the 4th class rock. There's still plenty of snow up high. Took eight hours from the Lolo trailhead to the Sweeney trailhead.

Date Climbed: Aug 10, 2007

August 2007 – Did a solo climb of the connecting ridge between Lolo and Sweeney. A wonderful, though taxing, climb I recommend for anyone who likes route finding plus Class 3 and 4 climbing.
