| After crossing path's with all the tourists and mountain goats on Bald Mountain, I opted to descend Bald's northwest ridge to the saddle joining this route. I ascended Reids peak via this route, signed the summit register in the mailbox at the summit, and downclimbed the south face of Reids to a talus chute with several cliff bands, and crossed the open beautiful country back to the Bald Mountain trail head. The southeast ridge is an excellent route to summit Reids Peak. | |
