| Cleaned up and re-established the 4 Point Rap Stations on the above date which is my last trip on this couloir. Staggard of course. This as all Sierra Couloir Ice Routes can and will change in density and quality of ice from year to year and even Summer to Fall within the same season. Each time I have used this as a descent from climbing the Feather Couloir to it's right, it has been in full on Sierra Bullet Ice conditions with no neve and the blue ice coverage was from it's very top vertical crest beginnings down to almost the shores of the lake below. | |

| climbed the route with ttriche in the evening after making the approach to upper Royce Lake and setting up camp. Wasn't too excited about doing the climb beforehand (wanted to sleep) but once I caught up to him at the col, realized it was fun litte 30min solo on low angle but good quality ice. Recommend this if going to climb the Feather Couloir because you can spot out the descent the day before... | |
