| My wife and I did the Ledges again and this time went on to East Peak for the first time. It was a beautiful day with lots of people below the 3rd ledge...almost no one on the way to East Peak, but continuous snow above 2600 feet. The view from East Peak is, well...underwhelming, but it's not a bad hike. | |

| I was the only one on top today. The forest is really making a comeback. Hit snow right around the first abandoned road, but no gear was needed. I was a bit surprised the first time the radio inside the locked shed started crackling to life. | |

| A "frostbite", that is... After approximately halfway between Rattlesnake Ledge and the East Peak summit, snow covered the ground from that point forward. I was not amazed at finding snow there, just at the depth of it. At least it was still walkable in my hiking shoes, without sinking. Other people were also making the snowy trek up the mountain, as well. | |

| I did this in the spring a couple of years back. A nice hike that is convenient to Seattle with the ledges being the primary attraction. | |

| I drove to meet friends who wanted me to take them hiking. They chose the location. It was a great starter hike for them. | |
