BSPclimberOn bike  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jun 26, 2009

Was in the area for a mtn bike race and rode/hike a biked up (50/50). I'd say the average grade is 15% with sections near the top around 20%. Good views from the summit, esp. to the SW. Most of the road is quite rough and loose but doable for anyone with good bike handling skills. Up in 1:30, down in 15 minutes.

MoapaPkNi laterites  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Sep 7, 1979

I was looking for Ni laterites to analyze for Pt, Pd, Ir and Au. Carried a shovel, 4-lb hammer, mapping Brunton, and lots of other junk. I stayed at the house of a friend who lived on the S base of the mountain; I just walked out his back door to the old road (actually an active mine road at that time).
