I have a mixed relationship with this climb - I hate the walk up, and I dont' know why, because I've done lots worse. When the left side is in grade 4 conditions, it's a fun route.
My first trip to the Demon was about -25 degrees Celsius. Only the short grade 3 pitches to the right were in and we almost got killed twice by bad drivers on the drive to and from. I said I would never go back. Each subsequent trip has been absolutely amazing with the steep and varied left wall of ice fully formed, easy mixed variations and ice generally late into the spring. Ice climb in the morning and rock climb in the afternoon anyone?
