| Ascended the old Peak Trail in about 3.5" of snow. The snow and the steepness made my trekking poles even more useful then they normally are. At the summit it was socked in with snow and sleet and the temperature was around 29 degrees. Even if the views weren't there it was still a great trail/bushwhack. I would say that 75% of the time I was able to locate a blue blaze but in the summer/spring I could see that being nearly impossible. |
