| Climbed this twice. Once with buddy Larry, H. late season, and got caught in a snow storm, high on the mountain. One of my most EPIC trips! | |

| Climbed in: 1) August 2001 (with Rick Hanners, lower glaciers were dry, hard ice); 2) July 2002, lead a GMS group of 4-5, also bagged Walton that trip; 3) July 2006 with J. Foster & R. Laudati. Tried Walton & got weathered off, but had a great trip up Blackfoot. Always hauled overnight gear in & camped at Jackson Glacier basin, attempted multiple peaks in the area. The glaciers continue to recede and getting around the ice cliff is more challenging each trip. As BFrench says, it would be a very long day from the road. | |
