| Have hiked there a few times from various starting points, and when I'm on a mountain-biking kick, I'll ride in the area almost weekly. Love the area and views. I live just down the hill from the Capitol, and have gotten stuck my head the aesthetic appeal of getting to a peak from my front door and back entirely by human power (no driving to a trailhead). So far this is the only peak I've done that for (it's 11 miles roundtrip, ~2000' vertical): spring 2009 by mountain bike (the easier method, obviously had to hike the last push), and now fall 2009 as a run (about 2 and a half hours roundtrip). |
