| At the time this was simply a landmark on the map and a natural stopping point after the exertion of reaching the top with a 60 lb pack (lots of food). From the top I was afforded an incredible 360 view that included Low pass and Grand pass, my next 2 objectives on the Lillian ridge - Grand pass traverse. Incredible beauty in all directions and an overall "Grand" experience. Thank God for the Olympic mountains. | |

| This one makes for an easy and enjoyable day. If you do the full circuit down through Grand Valley, you are likely to see some Olympic black bears. Give them their space and they will give you yours. | |
