WasatchvoyageBeat the boarders...  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Feb 13, 2009

Started just after 7 a.m. and snowshoed to the top from Brighton parking lot before the lifts started running. Once reaching Snake Creek pass the view of Timp was incredible. This peak has been on a list of S.L. County high points that I've been itching to get done. Great little peak.

Did this as part of the Brighton Ridge Run, under a rock on the summit there were literally thousands of ladybugs, I have since experienced this on another peak, it must be where they are born or something.

Moogie737Brighton Ridge Run variation from Bear Trap Fork  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jul 29, 2008

I have been to this peak many times. Today we began our hike at the Bear Trap Fork TH located below the Silver Fork Lodge and between mile markers 12 & 13. Before bagging Preston we also logged the following 10,000ers: Silver, Scott, Guardsman, 10,420', and Clayton. We had parked a shuttle car at the Brighton parking lot. The entire loop took less than 7 hours. Beautiful wild flowers all along the route. 4-21-09 Part of snowshoe extravaganza along Brighton Bowl Ridge including Millicent, Wolverine & Tuscarora, Sunset, Pioneer, 10,321, Clayton and 10,420.

Date Climbed: May 28, 2008

Parked at the gate on the Guardsman Pass Road. Hiked up the west ridge of 10420. Hit 10420, Clayton, Preston/10315, 10321, Pioneer Peak, and Sunset Peak. Descended to Brighton via Lake Catherine. Great snow conditions. We didn't need either snowshoes or crampons. With Anne Perry. My 15th time up here.

Four of us hiked to Preston Peak as part of the Brighton Ridge Run. Also went to Clayton, Pioneer, Sunset, Tuscarora, Wolverine, and Millicent. This is one of the extra peaks we climbed along the way.

ScottColdest Camp  Sucess!

I've climbed this rather mundane peak several times. The most notable experience just happens to be that when I camped on the summit during a cold snap, I recorded a -23F which still remains my coldest camp ever. Even though we were camped on the summit of a peak, there was no wind.

vanman798Along with 3 other peaks  Sucess!
Date Climbed: May 3, 2008

Skinned up from the base of the Crest Express lift at Brighton, to the backcountry entry point at the top of that lift. Of course the ski resort was closed for the season. Went along the pioneer ridge to the peak. It took less than 2 hours one-way. From the peak I back tracked, and continued along the ridge line bagging Preston Peak, Clayton Peak, and Peak 10-4-20. The whole trip, with breaks and everything took 5.5 hours.
