| It's a long day hike. And the Balsam Mountain trail is pretty scary for a regular hiking trail. There was a pink ribbon on a tree indicating where to start the bushwhack. Following the ridge to the top was easier (although more tiring) than following it back to the trail. Six more to go! | |

| Luftee Knob was one of our last three sixers. We managed to do Luftee Knob, Mt. Yonaguska & Mark's Knob all in the same day with snow on the ground>>stunning! As of March 2008, there was no visible summit marker on Luftee. | |
