| The summit is pretty cool, there's a nice natural wind shelter, which was nice because it was cold and windy at the top. Tagged this on a big loop from CU Campus, up to Bear Peak, over to Green Mtn, then down back to campus. | |

| They put those closure signs all over the best places. I never see those signs and I wouldn't admit it if I did. I'd like to see a Boulder bird pig catch me up there; that's my briar patch up there and I'm Brer Rabbit. | |

| Hiked the Northwest Face from NCAR Trailhead via Fern Canyon. The third class scrambling was really fun on solid rock. Unfortunately, this is one of those "do as I say, not as I do" moments. I found out after the fact that the summit of Nebel Horn is closed from February 1 through July 31 to protect breeding raptors. I knew that the area east of the Nebel Horn was closed, but I didn't know that approaching from the West was also a no-no. Now I know. | |
