| Went North Rim to South Rim coming out Bright Angel. This was my first visit to the Canyon and was awe struck with the scenery. I'll definitely be back - but for a hike of a few days so I can enjoy the place more. | |

| Very warm day the first time in 2007. Repeated it a year and five days later (5/23/08) and it was much cooler - it was snowing atop the north rim. | |

| We did this route (across and back) in one day as a post-Thanksgiving trail run. I think that with the miles out to the North Rim overlook, it was somewhere in the ~48 miles round-trip. By the time we got back down to the Colorado, it was dark and the (just past) full moon had risen and was reflecting off of the river. Beautiful. It inspired us enough for the climb back up Bright Angel. We finished at about midnight and immediately collapsed into slumber! | |

| This has to be one of the best hikes in the lower 48 and a must do for any outdoor enthusiast. We did it will full packs in two days and the last few miles to the South rim were just HELL!! It was hot and steep, but well worth all of the effort. | |
