Date Climbed: Dec 11, 2009

Started from Echo Lake and snowshoed directly up to meet the Mt. Evans road at 11,800 ft (cutting a few of the big switchbacks). Stashed the shoes at treeline and climbed Rogers and then Warren.

scooted over to rogers during the intermittent rain showers. the mist was disorienting but the noise from the road kept it from being problematic.

chicagotransplantCircle Tour from Echo  Sucess!
Date Climbed: May 17, 2009

Climbed solo as part of a long ridge tour from Echo Lake - Goliath to Rogers to Warren to Spalding to Gray Wolf back to Echo Lake. Great warm spring day with plenty of sunshine! The road was still closed giving the place an eerie solitude.

Foxy Long BottomsMt. Evans Rd  Sucess!
Date Climbed: May 3, 2009

Hiked the road for almost 5 miles and headed up. This probably ended up being about a 13+ mile day. Not too bad considering I'm getting over bronchitis! HA!

Date Climbed: Jan 18, 2009

A cold, lonely, windy day. I was glad all the discomfort paid off in getting my first summit of 2009. Hauled snowshoes to the summit but they were never needed. Avalanche conditions were inviting after the recent dry spell..took 4 hours from Echo Lake to summit and 3 hours down..

Enjoyed this mountain along with Mount Warren from Summit Lake. We headed out, actually, to hit Spalding and Evans, but the black-bellied clouds were building by 7:00 AM, so we changed plans. I was pleasantly surprised by the boulder scrambling on/near the summit. Partner: Husband.
