Hiked to the top of Mount Cardwell and Murdock Mountain. I was able to easily find the Wasatch county highpoint thanks to the good trip report and directions.

Skied from about MM 14.5 on the Mirror Lake Highway almost to MM 29, just before Bald Mt. Pass and then made a bee line for the summit of Murdock. After doing that one, went over to Cardwell and then back to the highway at about MM 28. The whole think was about 32 miles RT and took 12 hours. It was a beautiful day, cold to start, about 5 degrees, but by 10:30 temps were quite pleasant. With a recent snowfall, the going was slow on the highway and I even had to break trail for awhile before the snowmobilers showed up.

Mostly snowshoed to the summit from the highway, which was still open, but there were still a lot of rocks sticking out so sometimes I had to carry the snowshoes. Found 2 geocaches near the summit. One of them I found right away, but the other required a lot of digging through the snow.

Did Murdock and Cardwell after doing Scout Peak, Lofty Peak, and 10975.

Not as mainstream as some of the closer peaks but the back country was well worth the travel. Crossing the terrain was a blast.
