| After work on the 29th I headed out to the trail and I made it to the ridge top between Sunup Lake and Round Lake before it got dark. I bivied there until sunrise and then continued on to the summit. It was a little tricky finding the best way to bushwhack down to Sunup Lake. I was very impressed by the views from the summit. I found that I was the only one in 2008 to sign the register which is really just a few slips of paper in a plastic pill bottle. I saw a black bear on the upper slopes while descending. I must have passed very close to him before I turned around and saw him. Thanks Alexei for recommending this one. |
