used Vibram Five Fingers and ran as much of the ridge as i could; the bushwhacking slowed us down and it took 3 or 4 hours to do the 9 miles roundtrip.

Started from Little Mountain Summit after hiking to Dale Peak. The views along this ridge were better than I had expected.

Date Climbed: May 7, 2009

Came over from Dale Peak and loved everything about this hike except for the constant brush and mild bushwhacking. The trail is hard to follow in places and it's easy to get off the route on game trails, but just stay right on top of the ridge the whole way. Was in the office by 9:30. Three hours total round trip.

Interesting ridge hike. Gives a different perspective of the more rugged and higher peaks to the south.

ZeeJayLong ridge walk  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Mar 13, 1999

Started at the end of Benchmark Dr with MM. Climbed the SW ridge of Perkins. The going was slow and painful between the 7160 bump and Perkins. Continued over Dale all the way to Little Mt Summit. Came back the same way until just before Perkins and took the 2nd ridge N of Spring Canyon to Kennedy Dr.

WasatchvoyageGreat for the views of Salt Lake.  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jan 30, 2009

I decided to hit this one up after foul weather stopped me at Dale Peak last week. The weather today was fantastic, I ended up stripping down to a t-shirt on the way back out to Little Mountain. Saw many elk and deer. This was an excellent snow-shoe summit!

byatesA few times also.  Sucess!

Both times I've been on it were when there were inversions down below, probably late November or early December.

I've climbed the peak a few times. One via Pencil Point and once via the ridge to the south of Pencil Point (both of which have a rugged and tedious final ridge to the highest of the summits of Perkins). Also from Dale BM.
