SOCALHUSKERTorture  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Feb 15, 2009

Climbed via the Drippings Springs/Palomar Magee Trail along with Eagle Crag and returned via the Wild Horse Trail. Was a tortuous climb. Palomar Magee was badly overgrown and the snow made the trail even worse. Frozen tree limbs covered the route up and made the trail indiscernible at times. Used snowshoes from just past the Crosley Saddle up to Eagle Crag. The trail back was equally horrible, while it was well maintained, it was much longer than shown on the map I was using and took forever to return. Most have it pegged as a 25 mile trek but I thought it seemed closer to 30. Glad the death march is over but I will definitely feel it for a minute!!
