| Started the STS at Waterman Gap at night, spent that night at an amazing clandestine/illegal site high on a ridge over the basin. the next day set up camp at Jay Camp and hiked buzzards roost to keep the blood pumping. fooled around on the summit until we sighted the rocks near the radar station not too far. bushwhacked through a waist high game trail we had to crawl through. fun little top rope climbs and scrambles on the rocks. great day | |

| This is a really nice hike that I would like to do again. Tagged nearby Pine Mountain as well. The trail is nicely maintained until Buzzard's Roost, where it becomes kind of a bushwhack to get to the summit of Pine. | |
