You can bet this is where locals go to beat the heat. You can
find a bit more solitude by hiking into the West Fork of Oak Creek.

The snow never bothered me, either.

edevartA difficult climb  Sucess!

I climbed this route many times in my Ford Ranger while in college. A great place really. Can get crowded and choked with traffic. Lots of private property too. But solitude can be found.

Beatiful - but I was too much of a noobie to keep going once the trail faded and I had to get wet. Wish I had pressed on.

This is a very pretty canyon. There was snow in the shaded areas where the sun doesn’t seem to shine. We didn’t have any problem since we were prepared for this. I saw a lot of people in the lower part of the canyon but no one else in the upper part.
