| I typically start at the east end, then go W over Kraft, New Peak, Redcap, then cut back east and south over 1 or 2 peaks on the sides of Calico Tank, then down a deep slot on the east of the tank. This loop gives a lot of variety, with lots of scrambling. You gain over 3000' by the time the loop is done.
This peak has become immensely popular with one local Meetup group. Before 2003, there was no sign that anyone went across the top; now it's not unusual to have 40 people go across the summit on a scheduled hike.
Have also been N-S two different ways; much trickier. |
